Accommodations Policies

Here is the information you need to know about your Lodge reservations.
  1. Age Requirement Policy for the LODGE - Guests must be 21 years or older with photo identification to reserve a lodge room.
  2. Age Requirement Policy CABINS – Families are welcome
    Guests must be 21 years or older with photo identification to reserve a cabin. *Guests under the age of 21 must be accompanied by an adult.
  3. Reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance.
  4. We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover Card
  5. Deposits – A LODGE reservation does require a prepayment fee equal to one night’s lodging plus tax with a major credit card to quarantee your reservation.  This amount will be applied to your last night’s lodging upon check-in.  The CABINS do require a 50% deposit 30 days in advance of arrival.  This deposit holds rooms and tee times for the group; the remaining balance is due upon check-in.  Deposits are fully refundable forty-eight (48) hours in advance of arrival date or for weather conditions.
  6. Cancellations – LODGE and CABIN cancellations of any reservation inside 14 days prior to arrival will be charged the full value of the entire reservation, including applicable taxes.
  7. Check-in time – 4pm
  8. Check-out time – 11am
  9. Late check out availability – we are unable to accommodate late check outs
  10. Maximum room occupancy –2 guests per LODGE room and 8 guests per CABIN
  11. Alcohol & Food Policy
    All alcoholic beverages must be purchased at Spirit Hollow. We have an excellent selection of wine, beer and other spirits for your convenience and enjoyment. Click here for our CABIN Snack and Beverage Menu. 
    We welcome any special requests prior to your arrival and will make every effort to have these beverages available for your visit. For those rare occasions in which we may not be able to accommodate an advanced request, guests may be allowed to bring in alcohol; however, prior approval and corkage fees will apply. *Coolers are not permitted in the LODGE or CABINS.
    Guests of our CABINS may choose to enjoy a unique, in-CABIN dining experience, prepared and delivered by our outstanding culinary team. Guests are not permitted to bring in food items not purchased from Spirit Hollow. Because of insurance liability, we cannot allow cooking in the CABINS or LODGE.
  12. The Claret Jug – guests of The LODGE and The CABINS at Spirit Hollow have the option of private dining at The Claret Jug. Reservations for The Claret Jug must be made 24 hours in advance by phoning 319.752.0004.
  13. The lodge, cabins, golf shop, restaurant and bar are non-smoking. Lodge Rooms / Cabins that have been smoked in, or smell of smoke, will be assessed and charged a minimum cleaning fee of $250 for lodge rooms and $500 for cabins.
  14. Preparation of food in guest rooms by any type of cooking appliances, is strictly prohibited.
  15. Should housekeeping find any rooms damaged, in any way, the hotel will charge the credit card responsible for the room for all damages and/or cleanup fees.
  16. All early departures will be charged the full room rate for all nights reserved.
  17. Pets are not permitted on hotel property. Service animals are permitted as provided by law.If a complaint occurs due to the negligence of those occupying a guest room, disorderly conduct, unlawful activities, or repeated noise complaints, the offending guests may be evicted and/or receive additional charges to their account. If a guest is evicted, they are not entitled to any refund. If damages occur to the guest room or other areas of the hotel, the cost of the damage will be charged to the credit card registered upon check-in.
